Slow burn romances are peak

It feels like the story is only getting interesting now...

Enjoying it so far! Somewhat strange for me to be in the head of an obvious extrovert (I can happily go without speaking to someone for days on end) but still fun!

Tricia Levenseller's writing is my favorite.

Really sweet so far. I can tell its been translated from German, but the translation is fine. It's definitely got a magical realism feel to it!

I'm reading this because I'm running a Strahd game and... this so far feels like the DM is railroading the group into doing something/going somewhere THEY want, despite the many and loud protests of the players...

What I enjoyed about the previous D&D novel I read, The Fallbacks: Bound For Ruin, was that it felt like a very naturally flowing game of D&D turned into a novel! This is not quite that.

Put together by the same group that did 'Tasting Light', this is a middle grade collection of short sci-fi stories. I enjoyed the YA collection so I have high hopes for this one!

Easily one of the creepiest sentences ever. Plus the IMMEDIATE tone shift?? Eerie
