I do not like Greta. She seems SUPER judgmental. This may be a dnf for me. Plus, her desire to keep the library just as it is even though its not accessible to everyone is just gross.

Im enjoying this, its funny. But I think maybe Vera is supposed to be 80ish and Emma is supposed to be 7ish. Because 60 is nowhere near as old as this book is making it out to be and even precocious toddlers dont announce inflation.

I'm rereading and oh my gosh. This book was published in 1995. I read it well before 2000. Eve just said to Feeney that she's never seen a gun in person. That they haven't been around since the gun ban of 2022. This book is set in the "near" future and one of the hallmarks of the book is now in our past. Strange.

Violet is so incredibly unlikable. I don't care. I hope she drowns.

That was super foul of Sophie and Mars. They can't take 2 seconds and tell Natasha what's happening? Vegas may not like Natasha but shes doing her best.

Ok, I kinda get why Zara still has lingering feelings for Chett. She's had a crush on him for months. A crush made stronger because of Chessa. However. After learning all she did about what Chett and Co did? Why is she not resisting more? I also don't get Zoe and Corvins (audiobook listener, Idk the spelling) friendship. Book 4 and she finally has a friend her age while being besties with a 10 year old? She's 16!

I hope Chessa is influencing Zaras crush on Chett. He is such a jerk to her ALL THE TIME. And she just...giggles it off because she likes him so much. Girl why though?

I wish I had read this before Percy and Annabeths trip to the underworld. It seems like all that these two do is cry. Don't get me wrong. Even if I were some badass demigod I couldn't survive down there. But goodness. Crying and boyfriend are the most used words in this book.

I've never read the books outside of the percy storyline because I so didn't like the Jason storyline. I didn't like how it came out of nowhere. I didn't like how percy was constantly pulled down to prop Jason up. I'm liking nico and will but I'm hating how every time Jason is mentioned it's with how amazing he is and every time percy is mentioned it's half hate half love. I hate these screechwhatevers. Annoying.

On the one hand I love that Percy is a full and complex character but on the other hand I'm only 21% in and I *hate* how every other story is Percabeth is terrible for not rescuing and forgetting Bob, how awful Percy is in general but also, he's ok. He's done so much. Hate and love and admiration all at the same time. I'd rather read about Will and Nico. Let Percy rest, dang.
