i'm liking this way more than i expected for my very first Ali Hazelwood read ever hehehe

So far this is my least favorite Brandon Taylor. The characters drive drive me up the wall, which maybe is the point? There's just a pretention factor that I'm struggling with when it comes to some of these characters.

A very accessible version of the bombing of Hiroshima for middle grade readers, it doesn't shy away from describing terrifying scenes that may still be a little intense for sensitive readers. However, the connections the children make to the stories and their community are valuable lessons for kids to walk away with, and holds a meaningful anti-war message at the end.

Soft DNF about 100 pgs in. It's not bad! I love hockey and I love love, I may pick it up again later next year. I'm just a mood reader :/
