This is a second read: our hero is about to enter Hertfordshire. We know who lives there. His journey to this point has been very difficult. He is estranged from his father. Mr. Darcy senior took the word of a practiced liar over that of his son. Their relationship would be strained from this point on.

Part 2: In Mr. Darcy's Shoes: Mr. Darcy… cannot… be… my… soul mate!

This was adorable! Fan points! Heavy sigh. I loved this part. A tiny bit of paranormal as Lizzy can communicate with her deceased grandmother. Lizzy has seen a mark on Darcy’s arm and it matches one she has. Grandmama helps her to understand Darcy by allowing her to walk in his shoes [literally] during a few episodes in his life.

Two short stories in one book:

Part 1: Mr. Bingley Lends a Hand: Ends at 25%
This was a different outcome to the DHP [Disastrous Hunsford Proposal]. Bingley actually stands up for what he wants. That in turn, helps ODC find their HEA. How cute.

The correct title is actually A Christmas Miracle. 17 chapters + a very short epilogue. Darcy has to make nice to Meryton and Elizabeth. It is really cute.

Good Grief! The body count is certainly high.

In spite of the editing, I am actually enjoying this. Mrs. Bennet and Lydia are horrid. The others have banded together against them. An important message sent to Bennet was stolen. Now, all of a sudden, he has had several accidents that could have ended his life. Who is behind it and why?

LONG!

Good Gosh, this is LONG! I'm at chapter 23 and it's only 48%. This is an interesting twist. Elizabeth didn't take any guff from Mr. Darcy. She took him to task for his behavior and left no stone unturned. When she was finished, he knew exactly her sentiments. This has been the weakest Bingley I have ever read. Good, grief. The man was whipped. Louisa was no better and it cost her dearly.

This is NOT the DHP. There were a few rough places, but once Darcy got his tongue untied, he made a marvelous recovery. Heavy sigh. Fan points on romantic. HOWEVER: it is way too early to rejoice. There are rough and dangerous waters ahead I just know it.

Ch 18: We have the backstory of Mrs. Wilson and what brought her to Meryton. We also learn of the danger that has forced her and her sons into hiding. Oh, my goodness. This is horrid. Bless her heart.

Amazing story. I have an idea of the identity of the shy Mrs. Wilson. Oh, dear. What has happened to this poor woman? At this point, we learn her true identity. OMG!

To be honest, I'm having trouble connecting with the characters. I can't put my finger on it but something feels off. It is AU [alternate universe] for sure. The dynamics have changed considerably at Longbourn. I keep asking where is the P&P story. Yeah, these people have the same names but...

[12] For I Am a Married Woman: 5-chapters + an epilogue: ends at 99%

Lydia and Collins... eeww! Just saying. Slightly disgusting.

[11] Overhearings More to the Purpose: 5-chapters + an epilogue: ends at 90%

Mrs. Bennet overheard what the officers actually thought about her youngest daughters. Life at Longbourn took a dramatic turn.

[10] If Only They’d Had a Son: 5-chapters + an epilogue: ends at 82%

He turned out exactly as you would think

[9] And Then the Murders Began: 5-chapters + an epilogue: ends at 73%

Boo Spook… or a little shop of horrors?

Whew! This was a tough read. It was also a story where Bingley grew a backbone and took control of his life. He would no longer be influenced by his sisters and friend. I liked this Bingley. It was a somber story but still, gold and silver are refined by fire.

[7] Punish Him for Such a Speech: 5-chapters + an epilogue: ended at 57%

Slight religious element. A Sunday sermon gives Darcy a new perspective on his attitude. There is a different bride for Mr. Collins.

[6] In His Nightcap and Powdering Gown: 5-chapters + a short epilogue: ends at 48%

Mr. Bennet has a PJ Day... or week!

[5] Nothing But Officers in Her Head: 5-chapters + a short epilogue: ended at 40%

Her sister’s shadow… that’s code for trouble.

[4] But Then the Dragons Came: 5-chapters + a short epilogue: ends at 32%

Don’t get your dragons in an uproar. No pun intended… ah, heck, pun intended.

[3] Keep Your Breath to Swell Your Song: 5-chapters + and a short epilogue: ends at 24%

The Bonnet Family Singers received a command performance… literally from the Prince Regent. Darcy and Bingley were in the audience. Fast forward to Netherfield being let at last. Oh, dear.

#2 was supposed to be 17%

When at a function or gathering, for the love of, keep Lydia Bennet away from the punch bowl. She is a menace when sober but when drunk, she's a disaster.

What an adorable dog. I absolutely love him. I had a cocker spaniel when I was little. I have a feeling I going to cry. Just a feeling.

This is so much fun. Poor Darcy. I sorta... kinda... almost... feel sorry for him. NOT! That jerk has spent WAY too much time in the company of Bingley and his pernicious sisters. AND, it shows. Hopefully, his relations can cure him of their influence. We'll see.

Poor Elizabeth. Her emotions were tossed all over the place by the vacillating actions of one Fitzwilliam Darcy. The poor boy can't speak without offending her, her family, her situation, and her dog. Well, not that last one. She was beneath him, had no fortune, his duty, what he owed to his name and Pemberley, yadda, yadda. By this time, I wanted to slap him silly and tell him where he could jump off. Just saying.
