I loved this story! I'm on a journey to discover more about my Cherokee ancestry, and share it with my kids, and this great book hit the spot. It has mystery, intrigue, folklore, geography, and characters with big hearts. Highly recommended

I was really impressed with the furtive storytelling in Collins's first adult novel, The Binding. Also, the creative ideas and themes that appeared in the book. The characters felt so real, you could touch them. She works her magic again with this book! Part Dead Poet Society, part Herman Hesse, the story slowly unwinds and kept surprising me around every turn. A fascinating, spellbinding read.

I truly loved this book. I'm using it to try and answer the question, what is the shape of my life? How do I tell my story? Along with other sources, this will help me present about pivoting from the pandemic and into sense-making and meaning.

Reading Ram Dass, especially this book from his seasoning, feels like a favorite pair of jeans; you f\can just sigh and feel at home as soon as you start to read his words.

Had to read this in high school for ap english and remember not enjoying it. Giving it another try. I enjoyed the first story, entitled, youth.

This book seems too lofty at first. And by lofty i mean full of philosophy and politics. I was whizzing only through the faster paced plot of the 3 main characters. Now i am really interested in how the 3 stories weave together and will go back to make sure i haven't missed a thing!
