Alex is starting Mother Daughter Me
This is a fantasy novel in the sense that a single mother, whose only employment is freelance writing, is able to live in San Francisco

Alex is starting Queenie
I think Queenie did deserve to get fired, no matter her race. She didn’t fucking work, but maybe I don’t know the full situation yet to idk

Alex
Alex is starting Again, But Better
“I change into my favorite skirt [...] and a crop top with a blue-eyes tiger on it.” Does someone have a blog that compiles examples of terrible fashion from books? Because this is egregious

Alex is starting Natural Causes: An Epidemic of Wellness, the Certainty of Dying, and Killing Ourselves to Live Longer
“Where the we so stupid when we thought that fat was the devil incarnate? Now it’s obvious that sugar is the devil incarnate.” -the hypocrisy of this book, summarized.

Alex is starting My Not So Perfect Life
I really, truly hated Confessions of a Shopaholic, but I’m actually enjoying this one. Kinsella has definitely improved as a writer over the years.

Alex
Alex is starting The Motherhood Affidavits: A Memoir
Author repeatedly refers to her anxiety-prone adolescent daughter as fat, among other less-than-flattering epithets. I, as much as anyone, wish that fat could be used merely as a descriptor and not as an insult, but that’s just not the society in which we live.

Idk just kinda sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Alex is starting Chaos Monkeys: Obscene Fortune and Random Failure in Silicon Valley
The author of this book is an insufferable asshole, but he’s also pretty much every person I’ve known in the tech industry so I guess this book is good?

Alex is on page 168 of 304 of Why Diets Make Us Fat: The Unintended Consequences of Our Obsession With Weight Loss
The first two parts of this book are really good, but I'm slightly skeptical of mindful eating. To me, it just seems like the diet du jour.
