Adam Nevill is favorite horror author, though sometimes his stories are slow burns for me, but I can’t put down Monumental! Stayed up until 2am last night reading it while fighting sleep

When I saw this story was compared to Rosemary’s Baby, I was all in. Not only do I find the story riveting, but each of the characters (and there are plenty) are fascinating as well. There are so many mysteries to keep you hooked, and I think all those questions will be answered. Just like Ira Levin, Nat Cassidy’s writing flows at a steady pace and I’m quite enjoying the ride.

Have read The Rules a few times & it’s always good to have a refresher. I love how blunt the authors are. This time reading, I’m realizing how feminist The Rules are, and how this is basically an instruction book on loving yourself and leading a full life.

I’ve only read the preface & introduction and my mind is already blown by how this perfectly describes my family dynamic. Wow.

Omg this book is so cute. I’m kind of new to birding and I’ve had almost the exact same thought processes & dilemmas as Amy Tan lol. I’m very inspired & will be starting my own backyard bird chronicles.
