lowkey im getting pissed off. this main character has no backbone at all (yes i KNOW hes twelve but apparently in this world that's old enough to have a job at this hotel so its old enough to stand up for yourself) and its doing that thing where other characters are like yeah i know the information you're asking about but its a secret! I'm not gonna tell you! and thats happening about every four pages. hate it

i agonized over picking my 100th book of the year because i really wanted to love it and so far....things are looking promising....

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to just read this one and be done but no I’m def gonna read the other books by this author. The chemistry ! So understated and yet!

cutesy so far but kind of jarring to read this after reading a historical that was explicitly critical of landlords and the nobility in general and then this one has a sort of reverence for it despite being about women's suffrage. Just interesting!

Enjoying so far! Started a list of all the food they mention bc it sounds so good and I think a themed dinner would be fun to try lol

It's hard to say that I'm enjoying this book bc its so gross and devastating and violent and sad, but it's true I am really liking this.

Pretty sure all three books in this series happen simultaneously? Odd

objectively this book is not very good and yet I'm eating it up as always with this author lol
