11 year old claire did not register that it made nearly zero sense for the cats to go back to the forest through the very dangerous mountains instead of the less dangerous but more familiar twoleg place through which they had passed. gotta force a cool plot somehow, i guess. also, they must really hate the suburbs (that's fair)

Audiobook was an excellent choice for this one. the narrator also narrated the "Worn" audiobook which I finished recently. It's really funny to juxtapose her serious nonfiction voice with her bitchy tradwife influencer and fake cowboy voices

Cinderpaw's voice is super annoying here! but the drama is still so good

still a banger 20 years later!! loving the audiobook voices and graypaw's little lisp
