i usually can't focus on audiobooks while driving, but i binged half of this audiobook alone on a long drive and portions of a 17 mile hike

too many shoehorned romance plotlines. plus, why doesn't leafpaw just tell brambleclaw why hawkfrost is dangerous? she has a first-hand account of him kind of plotting ways to destroy thunderclan. wouldn't all of that have come up given her twin ESP thing with squirrelflight? why did that just go away when it was a huge aspect of the previous books? dying to find out whether mothwing's been a fraud this entire time

interesting and valuable content, but i feel like this book desperately needs another round of editing and more diagrams

11 year old claire did not register that it made nearly zero sense for the cats to go back to the forest through the very dangerous mountains instead of the less dangerous but more familiar twoleg place through which they had passed. gotta force a cool plot somehow, i guess. also, they must really hate the suburbs (that's fair)

Audiobook was an excellent choice for this one. the narrator also narrated the "Worn" audiobook which I finished recently. It's really funny to juxtapose her serious nonfiction voice with her bitchy tradwife influencer and fake cowboy voices

Cinderpaw's voice is super annoying here! but the drama is still so good

still a banger 20 years later!! loving the audiobook voices and graypaw's little lisp

i'm the only one who brings depressing non fiction books to silent book club
