Pretty good so far! Story's great, writing's a bit stiff, but overall a fantastic read.

This must have been a remarkable letter, seeing as both people were born in the 1880s.

This book is honestly pretty questionable but ugh I gotta commit, I hope something good comes along soon

First half done. Was an interesting, if short, work on the appropriation of scifi aesthetics (and hope) by big business

Some concerning factual errors (anthropocene dot info was created NOT to celebrate the anthropocene but to warn against it, and Tesla does not have a monopoly on electric cars) and a weird reach (calling albedo brightening racial??¿? Chat is reflecting light a race thing)

But I've already bought the book so I might as well read on

Except for, you know, Plato, Confucius, the entire Confucian school of philosophy in general, the Renaissance Humanists, and Ibn Khaldun to name but a few.

This book's pretty well-written, but not well-researched.

Fascinating reading so far, but the introduction serves as an indirect reminder that the plural of anecdote isn't data
