I can’t decide whether or not I’d recommend this book to the average reader. I of course am fascinated by the wolf biology, but I wonder if other people would find it too textbook-ish

This book is BRUTAL. Love it.

Just learned the author of this book is also the cofounder of the studio producing my most anticipated video game of the year… I’m frothing at the MOUTH RN didn’t know I could want the game to come out more than I already did

God, it feels just like the old Percy Jackson books

these are MY bodice rippers RAAAHHH

I read one paragraph. I have to pause bc my “currently reading” is getting unconscionable but I think I’m going to adore this book

Altogether boring until it suddenly grips you (around page 60). The Navidson record is the best part, wasn’t a fan of the asides until I was.

I love meta-textual stories and unique craft forms in delivering a story… that said… I think a lot of this book is unnecessary and it can be a bit of a slog to get through. Seems like the kind of story you either love or hate, and I think I’m too utilitarian in both my writing and desires from reading to be on the love side. I do see its positives though. You’ll know if you like it within the first 50 pages.
