Altogether boring until it suddenly grips you (around page 60). The Navidson record is the best part, wasn’t a fan of the asides until I was.

I love meta-textual stories and unique craft forms in delivering a story… that said… I think a lot of this book is unnecessary and it can be a bit of a slog to get through. Seems like the kind of story you either love or hate, and I think I’m too utilitarian in both my writing and desires from reading to be on the love side. I do see its positives though. You’ll know if you like it within the first 50 pages.
