Learning much. It is enlightening to read of the "justified" bigotry towards black people of the era(1840-1860) and how assured the majority was that they were still moral creatures despite their beliefs, and how it compares to the certainty that some have today that their bigotry towards LGBT people today, further ensures their entry to paradise rather than hinders that entry.

Never read a true crime book before and I'm not sure if I am now. I like Capote's writing and I find it odd that I am engrossed in this book because I usually don't want to get into the mind of killers. Like, I cannot stand the show Criminal Minds.

The idle class in London of the middle/late 1800s seem quite a vapid lot. When it comes to adjectives to describe Lord Henry, pernicious seems to me to be spot on accurate. To me, so far Gray comes across as a mealy mouthed and malleable handful of clay in Lord Henry's hands.

I'm not enjoying it as much as I'd hoped. Klara is jumping to creepy conclusions and concocting strange plans. I think the software people still have much more work to do.

I'm on chapter 17.

Holden Caulfield is a complicated character. I would define him as a conceited sceptical slacker who is depressed and depressing to be in on his thoughts. I thoroughly dislike him and I cannot picture this ending well for him.

What am I missing?

I'm reading chapters twice. It's a good read so far, despite being a little headspinning.
