Yes, I am a glutton for punishment

This is a fun sequel. Despite the shift in protagonists, it still has a similar vibe. I do miss Hector a little though.

I always get excited about reading a new Shaun David Hutchinson book. It feels like I am about to read something special. I read every Freida book but only about half his collection because I take my time with them. So far, this one has been pretty great. It could end up being one of the favorites.

Damn it.... how did I do this again? I have been SO BORED by these people. SO BORED!!! Then I saw the author's name and thought, "wait... it can't be. No way I did this again..." Sure enough, this is the guy who wrote that AWFUL octopus book and the Guncle book I also hated. This man wrote half my DNF list and is about to claim a larger share.

We're expected to believe this woman is a doctor? She does every single thing wrong.

This one is a rough start. It has all the standard Freida nonsense. A clueless female lead, a bratty child and and evil man.

So glad I am almost done with this Freida challenge.

This book is kinds boring

This is a little more sad and has far fewer characters, so far, than a Jill Mansell book usually does.

The humor reminds me a bit of "Notting Hill" with a dash of "Bridget Jones' Diary".
