Loved this book. It was well written and enjoyable on Audible.

Not going to be able to get through this book. It is written in a way that seems off to me.

Wow, the prologue is in bad taste when it discusses how long Princess Diana has been gone and bow Charles should have married Camilla in the first place. Really hope the book improves. Not sure who wrote it be wise I skipped through it at that point.

I enjoyed the first part of the book set in occupied France during WW1. We learn the story behind the painting which Sophie's husband painted of her called the same as the name of this book.

When the book jumped to modern time, it started to drag. The heroine seems whiney and selfish. But I do look forward to hopefully finding out if Sophie finds her husband and how the trial turns out.

I'm not usually a fantasy book reader; but after seeing Wheel of Time on Amazon Prime video, I was excited to learn more of this story. I'm listening to the Audible version while driving to work. The book is read by Rosalind Pike. Ms. Pike is as talented on the screen as she is a reader! She brings this book to life. I'm looking forward to listening to more.

Very interesting and informative. Good pace, keeps me wanting more imfo.

When reading this even though I know its a book, I feel afraid for these people and the atrocities they faced and what might happen on the pages that follow. But what boggles my mind is that even after what they've seen and who they've lost, when Yona first meets the group, they are so trusting that the Germans won't find them and some feel Yona is overreacting.

I'm not sure if I like or dislike this book.

Couldn't finish it. I'm very interested in the dust bowl, but this book was kind of odd.

I'd recommend Kristin Hannah's book, "The Four Winds" if you are interested in this era.
