Does anyone have any good recommendations for books that have been inspired by true stories? Fantasy, sci-fi, romance preferred.

I am reading this only for my book club's book bingo. I would have stopped a long time ago otherwise as this story is not engaging in the slightest.

Buried Deep was a heart-wrenching story about the minotaur and his sister.

A lovely glimpse back into the Scholomance world. At first I thought that it would be before that story, but when Orion did his small cameo, I understood that it's like a small parallel story.

A lovely pirate take on a regency story.

I feel attacked. Glasses and cardigans = grandma wear?! I guess I am one..

Instead of the typical tstl heroine, we have a tstl hero...

Also, HOW is this story DARK? George RR Martin never markets his stories as dark fantasy and I dare say that they are a lot darker than this blushing hero...

Can you have a DARK fantasy with a BLUSHING HERO?!
