I will read pretty much anything, and the concept of this book is great so I was really looking forward to it. But I have found the writing to be stale and the tone old fashioned for the sake of it. It is like he had a great idea then someone told him we need more steam punk in the world so he chucked some goggles, and steam engines at it. It is un-necessary at best but distracting at worse. I wont be buying more.
