I am reading this aloud with my 13yodd, one or two chapters per week...

September 2013- I am reading this once again, with my youngest daughter, now 13. My once-13yo (above) is now 16. Time passes, and the blessed work continues.

Reading this with my 16yodd. Very interesting and applicable to what is happening in our country today.

Katie is 85% done with Waverley
We started this last school year, took the summer off, and continued it beginning in August. It started slow, but we are fully invested in the life of Edward Waverly now. I wonder what will happen to him? ;) After we finish this Waverley novel, we plan to read Quentin Durward.

We are reading the Life of Coriolanus-- the 25% done applies to that biography only. Although I have to say, the other Lives look very interesting. I already have our Plutarch planned for the school year, but maybe we will read some of these others next year.

Actually, I am on page 304 with my 16yo and page 16 with my 13yo (beginning my third and final pass through this excellent book). This book, as Adler would say, deserves to be read slowly. And it is as much about learning to write as learning to read.

I'm reading this one for the third time. It is my last pass through AO/HEO Year 7. Bittersweet. (We won't read the entire book, but only the whole of the first volume and bits of the others.)

I am reading this with my youngest daughter. This will be my third reading of Churchill's first volume of _A History of the English-Speaking Peoples_ (I also read it with my older two kids). It is a difficult book to get into, but it sort of grows on you after awhile. :)

I am learning so much about English literature from this book. For one, that the imaginative histories written in Britain during the Middle Ages had an influence on the likes of Shakespeare, Spenser and Milton. Wow. Love this book. Also had no idea that the Britons settled in Brittany as well as Wales. So interesting.
