Found this book on a stoop in Williamsburg. It's boring but since I've been carrying it around, I'll give it a gander. What I have noticed already after reading "Happy Love", the first short of this collection - is that even w her witty and descriptive passages, much is left to the reads imagination. Felt like reading a play from an amateur

At the core of a great story is a well developed character. A character's intelligence and experience and fears and beliefs are all indicated by what he or she thinks about, and how he or she thinks about it. For example, we can imagine the same scenario being narrated in two different ways, depending on what sort of person our character is.Palahnauk is great at developing his characters.

I'm reading this one a bit slow. I've always been interested in delving into Gia's tragic story so there's no surprise that I'm becoming immersed. This book actually fell into my "research" pile as I accepted a position that entails dealing with the personal account of a very prominent supermodel.Now I'm out to get a deeper understanding of what it's like to be genetically superior and to be celebrated for it.
