idk i might dnf like the writing is good but im just bored and keep finding myself zoning out so i might need a palate cleanser and will have to restart this eventually

this is a cute lil book so far, the writing is surprisingly good, a unique concept of a plot too, though lowkey after this book i think i'll have reached my quota of "character turning dilapidated old building into cozy shop" type of book idk how much more of this i can takeee lol it gives the same vibes as those mobile apps where you restore buildings for the homeless characters

Just started this book an hour and a half ago but now i have to take a pause to go to class but lemme just say that this book is DEVASTATING me

this one has been on my tbr for a bit so im excited to finally get to it!

so far not hating this book but also i’m listening to it via audio rn and it’s going by really fast so i don’t feel like im wasting my time (already 50% finished). it’s giving gilmore girls vibes a bit. still cliche and cheesy but cute tho i don’t think ill remember much of it in a month from now

does anyone else find it weird that they keep bringing up logan’s ex? like that’s weird… idc who you are, ex or new girl, it’s just weird to be like pitted against each other 😭

she already has a crush on him but they don’t even know each other?!?!

boy meets girl. boy invites girl to small town meeting. boy doesn’t know why he invites girl to town hall meeting. boy can’t stop thinking about girl. boy thinks the seventh circle of hell is sitting next to girl at said meeting. boy is a bit dramatic.

Dude she just met the guy and now she’s already thinking of having a fling with him? 😭

What is it with these male characters being allergic to being friends with people 😭

Additive: words amplify or elaborate on an image or vise versa.
Parallel: words and pictures seem to follow very different courses without intersecting.
Montage: words are treated as integral parts of the picture.
Interdependent: words and pictures go hand in hand to convey an idea that neither could convey alone.

Types of combinations:
Word specific: pics illustrate but don't significantly add to a largely complete text.
