still sick with the flu two weeks in, still comfort rereading old favourites

having the flu and not leaving the house for a week is overall bad, but boy has it been good for my reading goal, this is my fourth book this week

all i’m doing this summer is reading devastatingly romantic classic novels (also watching love island, I contain multitudes)

I generally judge the success of a non-fiction book by how much I want to talk about it with my friends while I’m reading it - this book definitely does that and has made me ask my friends about religion of all things!

I used to work with Lamorna, her first book came out while we were colleagues and it was so delightful to discover she’s such a thoughtful and skilled writer. I love the way she tells human stories and am so excited to see how they’re woven into this new book
