I have tried to be interested in this story twice and failed twice. Things are too scattered to hold my attention.

This is one of the best books I have read in a while. Not only was the plot good but also the technical part of how Connelly put it all together was excellent. Characters were well developed, the progression of the story made sense, the dialogue was smooth. The mystery was resolved at the very end and it was a total surprise to me. I will read more of his books and especially like the main character John McElvey.

Didn’t finish this. The story became tedious, switching back and forth between characters.

I just finished The Watch (The Red Series Book 1) and gave it 5 stars.

I just finished The Forgotten Room: A Novel.

Had to quit halfway through because I did not like the jumps back and forth in time. Overall, had a good premise and had a lot of promise with the mystery that the story was centered around. It might be that I was just having trouble focusing and maybe it would be worth a try some other time.
