listen . . . i recognize my perception of men’s height might be warped due to the men in my family ranging from 6’ to 6’6” but like come on 6’3” is not “abnormally tall” - hayden is not some giant amongst men, he’s just a guy. it’s really distracting how focused the narrative is on making sure i know this guy’s tall when alice is also tall - taller than me! his height should not register to her

the bible should not be mandatory in public schools. not everyone is christian. you only feel this way because clearly YOU are christian. i bet you’d have no problem removing the torah or qur’an if they were manadatory

this book, first published in 2015, is really calling native americans indians (and not even in a quote, like the author is saying it) and refering to them as cruel???? like, i genuinely don’t understand how refering to indigenous americans as indians has stuck around (it’s racism) when we all know that they were only called that because christopher columbus mistakenly thought he was in india
