This is the halfway mark for this book and so far absolutely nothing has happened. It feels like this first half was written just to introduce the reader to Jamie. But he is a very boring and underdeveloped love interest (way too pretty and perfect to be real).

If I had to rate the book based off the first 100 pages, it would be really low. Blame it on the hype surrounding this, but so far it just reads very bland and predictable.

What I want to know, is if all the water was zapped in the Flash, then where did it go?? Water can't just disappear. It has to go somewhere, and in some form (steam, dew, clouds...etc) I really hope there's a good explanation for this. And the characters are WAY more tolerable. This is good.

Love the book so far, but what is up with all this back story. I mean... it's like a surprise intermission from the actual story. I'm not sure I like it. It could've been handled better.
