Back to basics.

This feels like I’m reliving COVID times through the eyes of Stephen King.

July’s protagonist is so authentically human and bizarre and has such an enthralling stream of consciousness that it took me until page 277 to realize that we haven’t learned her name yet, and probably never will.

Became enamored with July’s writing style (hilarious, disarming, unraveling stream of consciousness?) at the National Book Awards Finalists Reading in November, and now I can’t put All Fours down. Like Big Swiss if Big Swiss took place in LA.

My annual reading of one of my favorite novels. I find solace in the fact that that, sure, we may be living in our own twisted horror novel, but at least our husbands aren’t replacing us with domestic robots.

With 2 days left of my Libby loan, I’m really down to the wire with this one

This book is already shaking me to my core, and starting it at midnight last night was a big mistake because it’s hard to put down. So far, it’s giving “It” (this is unsurprising since Stephen King is Joe Hill’s dad) and “Dark” (remember that spooky German show on Netflix?) and (screams internally) “Longlegs” (😭😭😭)
