despite the Doomer creeping in this rlly makes me want to halt my consumerism, my spending, my shopping habits

I enjoy the solar punk setting and the story flows very well! I don’t enjoy the humor at all though idk why it’s not landing for me hmm

I genuinely haven’t read enough sapphic literature for sure but this romance is corny in a way that I don’t buy. They just vomit incredibly intimate compliments at each other idk. The dialogue isn’t good. I still don’t like the writing that much :/

After the mc acclimated to her new life the story really picks up! I don’t buy the romance - maybe I need to see Marigold and Lottie spend more time together and get more one on one - especially since they’re enemies to lovers. Obvious fated
magically cursed blood enemies. Also Marigold not acknowledging how Lottie is obvi a witch?? why is she ignoring that it makes zero sense :/

Loving this. Cant wait to reach the conclusion. The parallels of the diverging paths, the way generational trauma emerges in the characters unspoken and unknown. A profound sadness to it all but still there’s beauty and resilience.

Good so far! I absolutely HATE the book cover I have. So sorry but I hate the the Wong illustration. Logging this book and seeing the original cover is angering me soooo much maybe it’s cuz of my period
