Switching to the book. I don’t like the audio narrator, Rae is in her early 20’s and she’s making her sound like a teenager. Rae sounds petulant v snarky, making me feel annoyed when I should be laughing.

Leather flip-flops for a reconciliation talk? I didn’t think Brett could get any more off-putting, but here we are.

Enjoying this so far, it's got a good UF vibe a la Kristi Charish's Kincaid Strange series (check it out if you're unfamiliar, it's a fun series full of adventure).

I guess I’m so out of touch with historical romance because it’s already steamy at this point, and that’s just the teaser! This is def a for-my-ears only audio. 🤣
