Came back to this after years of break

I’ve just finished the first story, Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius. The opening part reminded me of the mysteries in The Name of the Rose—mirrors, other worlds, and books that make people dizzy. The second part, however, shifted in tone and strongly evoked Thomas Mann’s Utopia, with its intricate details of an imagined world. I particularly liked the linguistics of Tlön.
