The writing is strong McCarthy style.
It seems that his books are safe choice that chooses to read, not like mind blowing but with decent story telling and some hidden messages in it.

Not sure Will I finish reading this book. Read Bujold’s fantasy books years before. I didn’t read any her sci Fi books before; and I didn’t expect It is quite a drag. The opening of the story is disappointing to me.

Read like a fictional story but most of the parts are more interesting than fictions. If it is about the interaction with animals then it is good if not but the interaction with human characters then it is tedious.
