The street of Crocodiles is one of the very few books which I was enticed to continually reading it as its writing is good.

But the problem is I don’t speak in Polish, so I just assume the polish writing is as good as in English translation. The writing is better than the two iconic Polish writers which I read this year.

leave them alone to look after the children and themselves. So each time a male child is born, they hope he will be the one to change this vicious circle—which he never does.

Why I have a feeling that Angel the protagonist in the story is not like herself anymore? She is becoming more a tool to which the author used for the plot and theme or herself growing up?
