I love how Bronte breaks down events and situations when we are approaching the finale, and it's so neatly wrapped up clearing out all the background mysteries and questions.

Having read other Hunger game -esque books before O read this (Look the name didnt help my case when i was in school) Im thinking wow she's so self centered.....

Here they were interrupted by Lady Catherine , who called out to know what they were talking of .

"If she does not object to it , why should we ? " 
" Her not objecting does not justify him . It only shows her being deficient in something herself - sense or feeling . "

" An unhappy alternative is before you , Elizabeth . From this day you must be a stranger to one of your parents . Your mother will never see you again if you do not marry Mr. Col- lins , and I will never see you again if you do . "Elizabeth could not but smile at such a conclusion of such a beginning ;

This chapter had me as exasperated as Elizabeth. XD

To Elizabeth it appeared , that had her family made an agreement to expose themselves as much as they could dur- ing the evening , it would have been impossible for them to play their parts with more spirit , or finer success ;

I can see the reason this book is getting polarizing reviews, especially after I read that it's inspired by Red Queen... Yeap I see the similarities. On top of that the it's very apparent it's a debut in aspects of the writing, which isn't much of a criticism rather very natural to see in first time writers.

I don't own any other Jules Verne books yet... but I do have a tome of Robert Louis Stevenson on my table.

Was enjoying the scenic descriptions, until we were yet brought back to the fact that...they are basically still kidnapped....

The description of sea is beautiful... Especially to a desert girl like me.

Either I'm suffering withdrawal (which is a usual for me after a good Sanderson book) or The writing is is too much... I loved her writing in the wrath and the dawn.... What happened here?

OK OK.... I probably giver the author some leeway giver this is the first work of hers I read but.... OK I'm huge fan of Brandon Sanderson, and thw rioting is goo but it's feel jilting at times. And oh man I'm just at chapter 4, and I get why people say it sounds like middle grade FM and Rig....
Honestly, I'm here for all Jorgen bits.

Mahn I need this story to pick up the pace....
I'm enjoying the hurdles our MC is put through, how everyone acknowledges that she is a child and might not be able to acknowledge what's at stake

Love the writing...
Taking this book one bite at a time....

So, im planning to try out book depository as soon as spring break arrives....
Until then im going to be sampling my cart and finalizing my orders.....

And hope book depository delivers.

Oh I love it.... I'm just impatient to get on with it.... OK I might have skipped ahead to see where we go with edan but the plots safe from spoilers XD.....
I should've started this on May but I feared I'll forget abt it......

Very compelling writing and realistic character uptil now..... I hope we see more than just well him. And her..

Book 4.... And i never read the series.... But the author has graciously included recaps of events and terminologies regarding this world... So bless her.... But I still feel smth is missing... And since on an ARC readathon.... I don't have time to get the previous books... Sadly
