14% in and I'm completely sucked into this story.

This has to be the most bizarre book I've ever read...

So far, really boring.

Another of those awful introductions by some other person trying to tell the reader what the author actually meant.. I hate those.

I received a free copy of this book from Booksprout in exchange for my honest review. I loved this book - a combination of mystery and supernatural. The characters were well constructed, the writing style was sublime. Very enjoyable book, I read it in a couple of hours. I will certainly look for more from this author in the future.

This book is beautifully written, interesting.. Very intense story and background - not a quick easy read.

Ha! I fell right into the trap! It's all come together.

I'm struggling with this books.. The chapters jumping back and forth with different people is confusing.. Having to stop and figure out who it's about is annoying.. The other thing that bothers me is that I can't stand the protagonist, wishy washy, fuzzy headed, withholding evidence bugs me to no end.

This is one of my all time favorite books.. BUT I dislike, intensely, an introduction by someone else trying to define elements in the story and what was in the mind of the author.. Bugs me to no end!

Time for a reread of this incredible book.

It just gets worse.. No, there is nowhere in San Diego that is close to Beverly Hills, and you CANNOT see the Hollywood sign from anywhere in San Diego.. Pools did not have spas in 1950 not was traffic so bad it would take an hour to drive through downtown San Diego..

I give up, two pages describing war and go fish..

Oh my gosh.. The author didn't even do basic research.. For example, in 1932 there were no satellites, air conditioning.. In 1950 there was no caller ID, cell phones, memory foam queen beds, 24 hour news stations or police helicopters..

I am putting this book aside for now.. I want to read the first book, The Many before reading anymore of this book.

I am reading it on my kindle although its listed as paperback only. This book is a real grabber so far (about halfway through); I have no idea where its going but I am certainly pleased to be along for the ride!

Wow! This kindle edition has a whole addition to the story that my hardcover version does not contain.. Fascinating, I've never seen this before.
