I stumbled across this author recently and I thought "What the heck, I'll give this a try" considering we share the same name. However, I am going to have to add this to my DNF list because two F- bombs within the first three pages is definitely not for me.

Audiobook - I am having trouble understanding why there are such rave reviews for this book. Maybe I am not the audience?

DNF. It seemed as though the story was heading a direction that I didn't want to follow.

It seems like this book is having an identity crisis. Is historical fiction? A mystery? A parallel universe? Romance? A feminist commentary on the mental health system in the 1920's? Trauma? Substance abuse? There are so many themes that it's hard to keep track. However, it does seem fitting to be reading it near Halloween. The main reason I haven't quit is because I want to know what happens to Henry.

Meh. It was predictable.
