I'm actually making progress on a book after TWO MONTHS of not reading anything! I have so many books I want to finish, but my sister is going to come for me if I don't finish this 😂

Loving this so far but the cover has me worried about a possible love triangle and I'm not on board with that!

Celine is still annoying me. Actually, this entire book so far has been making me mad. I feel like I don't know these characters anymore, and so many things keep going wrong. There is still almost half of the story to go and everyone that should be together is separated. 😤

The fact that I knew nothing about any of this is frustrating, especially since the U.S. was involved for many years. This is the history we need to be taught in schools.

This book has been so informative but also brought up many points that are crucial to understanding the struggles of the Palestinian people. It's sad that this has been going on for so long and also frustrating that the US is continuing to contribute to the apartheid by funding and supporting Israel.

I started reading this with a friend whose AFAB child has been questioning their gender identity. The friend asked me to read it and discuss my thoughts because they want an unbiased opinion.

So far, this book feels pretty biased and while there may be scientific studies in this, the delivery feels like the studies shown are only those in favor of the authors argument. Plus trans influencers are demonized a lot.

"Then they hear someone who is truly an expert, who does indeed represent the movement, who is so thoroughly informed about the history of the conflict, who speaks about the failure of the Oslo Accords, et cetera, when this happened and why it’s important, but too often people feel that they are not sufficiently informed to consider themselves an advocate of justice in Palestine."

"My experience has been that many people assume that in order to be involved with Palestine, you have to be an expert. So people are afraid to join because they say, “I don’t understand. It’s so complicated.” "
