Very eye opening. Very good book to read if you want to understand more of why you are the way you are and how shame plays such a huge part of most decisions we make. It opened my eyes to see the things I say/do as a husband/father that I thought are good and positive things are actually quite the opposite. Very helpful.

Reaching in areas but definitely kept me interested. Will read the author again because I'm trying to stretch myself. Perhaps he left out data, research, and details of some of the stories. Especially suicide success rates. What I gained was that we are still horribly bad communicators with each other. Hopefully all readers of this book can agree on that point.
