And just like in WANTING YOU, there’s a dialogue about divorced parents who didn’t behave well when their kids were younger and then suddenly become friends when their kids are adults. I experienced that and no matter how much people try to tell you how great it is, it’s awkward and weird at times. So the way Chloe dealt with it was a LOT of me.

Ashlynn is very impulsive and confident, but she’s also a bit insecure. I loved giving her those layers, and I do have a friend who has some of those qualities.. And Reid is just a genuinely nice guy who knew what he wanted to do since he was a kid and went after it.
