I have not read this book. I do not own this book. I have no idea how it got onto my "currently reading" list.

This one just didn't do it for me.

Two London couples pick the same small village as their get-away-from-it-all destination.

Largely unlikeable or clueless characters and an author who is inordinately pleased with her "inside" jokes drag everything down.

Wolfe's history of the mystique of aviation in the early days of supersonic flight and the entry of the U.S. into the space race via the Mercury program, is fascinating reading. Never sappy and often cynical, the honest drama still shines through.
