The first of many pity parties

I love menzobarranzan. It is truly D&D flavored Game of Thrones.

I absolutely love the intrigue and chaos of menzobarranzan. I maintain that a television show of just this city could have game of thrones level interest

The first major death of the series. It is sad even with knowing how it plays out.

Cadderly is biting off more than he can chew

Ghost makes an interesting transition is terms of his overall demeanor and ability set, understandably so but it's a cool change to explore from one book to the next

I understand the need for cadderly to doubt where his power comes from but the degree to which he does it becomes exhausting.

One of the weaker openings in the cleric qu8ntet, I've never enjoyed a main characters brooding self pity and self exile.

I swear that the bouldershoulder brothers are the mvps of the cleric quintet. Cadderly and Danica would have easily died multiple times without them.

Knowing what fate befalls cadderly later there are several lines that make me sad to read in this particular every.

I really love Ivan and pikel. Two of the best dwarf characters ever written

I love the cleric quintet, it's peripherally related to drizzt and it's a great overall story that informs about the forgotten realms and gives important history to characters that are important later on in the drizzt saga

Pasha pook and the calimport thieves guild. The first real culture shock the Companions experience.

The well planned twist has played out and now we work the chess board, with so many pieces in play

The chase is on. I had forgotten some of the plot points of this one but it all came roaring back in just the little I've read so far.

Nesme consistently proves themselves to be absolute shit. We follow the push their the troll moors and the greatest test of the Companions yet.

Busy for a couple nights but thankfully came back to the introduction of the greatest Wizarding family in fiction, The Harpells!

We meet the barbarians from south of the spine of the world and yet again the Companions barely escape travesty

The Siege of ten towns and the battle with errtu as well as the first and second great accolade of wulfgars life

We've got another historical canon moment for the cast with the prep underway for the second battle of ten towns

I like drizzt's dangerous and cocky attitude here and can easily discern that this will version eventually blossoms into what jarlaxle was
