My short story 'Even the Fox' which is a kind of prequel to my series has just been out live by an actress on Cornish online radio. I thought I'd be embarrassed, but it was amazing hearing my words read aloud and she did it beautifully... They had to edit a graphic death of an animal out of it because kids might be listening, so it wasn't 100% clear what had actually happened! Never mind, it added to the mystery...

My short story 'Even the Fox' which is a kind of prequel to my series is going to be read out live by an actress on Cornish online radio (if that isn't a contradiction in terms!) this Friday Jan 19th at 3.30 GMT. http://bit.ly/KMFradio. I'm a bit nervous as I write to be read in private in a person's head, so have never heard anything of mine read aloud! I shall be sitting listening with a paper bag over my own head!

I'd like to know what you all think about authors 'liking' a review of their own book? I've never done this because it seemed very self-obsessed and 'look at me, aren't I great?' But when other authors have 'liked' a review I've put up about a book of theirs, I've felt valued by them, and have felt that the work I've put into doing the review has been recognised.
How do you feel?
