After watching so many Rahul Dravid interviews over the years, in which he always picks this book as a must read I finally thought why not give it a try!

Actually excited to pick up a new book after ages. After 'Devotion of Suspect X' and 'Salvation of a Saint' can't wait to start this new book by Keigo Higashino. Also desperately waiting for the translation of the third Prof Galileo book 'A Midsummers Equation'!

The Illustrated Gormenghast Trilogy (Gormenghast, #1-3)
Restarting this again after multiple attempts. I bought this book around 7 years ago and have wanted to read it for probably the last 15 years but this is the one book I've somehow always start but never read more than a few pages. Hope this time I manage to finish it.

Moe than halfway into the book. Jonathan Stroud's writing has so far been at a leisurely pace. Not fast enough to be an unput-downable page-turner, but at the same time interesting enough to not make me pick up another book. But now that the titular Scraming Staircase has been mentioned its all started to become terribly exciting! (Terribly exciting? Who uses that! I think the language of the book is getting to me!)

‘The rule here is that each member of the agency only takes one biscuit at a time in strict rotation. Keeps it fair, keeps it orderly. Nicking two in times of stress just isn't done.’ ‘One biscuit at a time?’ ‘That’s right.’ ‘You mean to say I've got the job?’ ‘Of course you've got the job,’ he said.

Already loving this book. I never warmed to the Barthelemow series by Jonathan Stroud till the third book but this is already feeling better than it. It has more of a contemporary British lingo feel which I personally prefer. Though dont know how others will like it

Ok. They used a Robert Frost line in the book 'Good Fences Make Good Neighbors'. That line alone will get the book an extra star whenever I finish. Because Robert Frost thats why!

I really hope there's a point for such detailed and boring descriptions of the politics in the Greyjoy family succession. I mean why go on chapter after chapter about a minor house in the kingdom unless its gonna mean something really important later on!

Finally got my hands on a physical copy. Kinda bummed though that I've got the version that mentions that JK Rowling is the real author of the book (even if that's the reason I've bought this book. Talk about hypocrisy!)
