Chapter 6, about the way language (d)evolves and how the "truth" of history is revealed, is a joy.

Not really delighted to find myself reading a hockey romance, and the MMC's POV chap makes him seem pretty gross. I guess it's going to turn out to be like that Bromance Book Club series, where romance novels make men better partners? (Bold choice, though, to have the FMC be Harriet Smith/Smythe instead of Emma herself.)

The tower that housed the contestants was a towering thing. This and other news at six.

First, I am enjoying Arris's parents' Morticia-and-Gomez vibes.
Second, is Arris's sister really named "Evil"? I'm listening to the audiobook, and that's what it sounds like.
Third, shouldn't I be more interested in the actual main characters than this?

I am very strongly reminded of Legally Blonde. Sadly, I'm not as charmed by this.

O tarot deck! Will I ever care about what's happening in this book? (Other than hoping nothing bad happens to Errata, obviously.)

Zora is really information illiterate. She cannot use search engines for beans. Also, she is really weirdly hostile.

Maybe it's a problem with the NetGalley reader, but the text is just too small to read comfortably and because of the way the pages are formatted as images (apparently?) I cannot enlarge it to a readable size. Sigh.
