Lots of buzz about this book, it’s well written, but halfway in the book I am starting to hate it. Women characters are terrible, generally, characters are more caricatures of characters. It will be hard to get through

Monica is on page 308 of 432 of American Pastoral

it's taking me so long. The first 200 pages were hard to read, and I did not enjoy the book until then, it looked as the book did not age well at all. Last 100 pages are great literature, but I wouldn't put it in the the must read list, let's see if I change my mind at the end
