The most vivid scene in The Da Vinci Code is the scene of Jacques Sauniere's murder. Although it may be the most graphic, it is also most important because it leaves behind the clues for who murdered him and the secret he was sworn into protection which risks being exposed. The scene consists of a symbol made with his dead body, a number sequence on the floor, and writing with black light marker to hid the phrase.
