The minor character of the story is Mr. Jones lives on the Manor farm. He is the owner of the all the animals and lives in a house on the farm which has some fields and a barn. The main character Major, a prize Middle White boar, describes Mr. Jones as a cruel owner and is trying to lead a rebellion among the animals and kill the humans. Major claims that Mr. Jones doesn't treat them well or feed them enough.
