reading this after reading persuasion earlier this year is pretty interesting because i feel like this time around i’m more interested in the social commentary dimension. obviously i have read this a million times but it’s cool to see her develop her ideas from this to persuasion etc.

idk why if i say i’m reading this audiobook i have to switch my entire reading activity over to it but anyway? also idk why it automatically assumed i’m 80% done i hate goodreads lol. okay but this book is still a delight thanks

this cover is frankly something Else like ... you expect me to believe that the person in this cover has that a** and no one noticed ?? you expect me to believe that she rolled up to the club and everyone wasn’t like HE GOT A BOOTY anyway it’s past midnight i should sleep

this one is straight historical romance which is unusual for me but i decided to branch out !! it’s fun but best of all the main character is nonbinary and that’s very exciting especially in a historical romance !!

mixed feelings so far but by far the weirdest thing in this book is a reference to ?? harrison ford ??? for context this books takes place in like 1920 or ihhh at least 30 years before he was born. i’m ?

UGH now i finally see what the reviews are saying about these being all out of order ! i listened to about half of a story before realizing it’s a much later installment :( huge bummer ! anyway skipping ahead from chapter 16 to chapter 30 i’m in the right order now

we are obsessed i'm sorry it's just perfect quarantine listening .. it's light, it's funny, and each chapter is only about 25 minutes ...

i’ve been doing a lot of walking in grey & windy weather while listening to this audiobook. it’s bleak and seems to go on forever, much like the current crisis. i’m not sure if this book is helping my feelings wrt pandemic, but either way the whole thing is a mood

remember that thing i said about not spoiling myself? well i was so good st that that i apparently missed an entire detail that was crucial to the story lmao...anyway how is this book only half over? it’s enjoyable but like .... scream so much has happened already

this is...vindicating me in my aversion to spoilers !! the twistiness is so delicious and satisfying and i’m so glad i get to read all this messiness and drama and have the shocks and reveals etc preserved !

this book is so stressful !

getting more and more fed up w/ YA m/m romance since they all seem to think it's okay and normal to like, have a girl friend that they actively lie to and mislead so that she won't suspect they're gay. an extremely bad take and it's so prevalent! every time i see it it makes me want to rip my hair out and scream!

just had to read a bisexual person explain, “its about the people, not the parts.” i’m so tired. this book is tiring.
