It’s a heartwarming and cute story but it feels slow 😣

I’m up to the part where her father begins the conservatorship and says “I’m Britney Spears now.” I wish she gave more context as to how the family began setting up the conservatorship and why they decided it was a good idea. I think it was so traumatic for her that she’s not able to think about those details. I just don’t understand how the was able to achieve this.

Didn’t finish. Wanted to read this because this show is currently on Broadway starring Kelli O’Hara. Yeah… this version written in the 50s is NOT the current Broadway script. It’s giving 1950s racism and a depiction of alcoholism so simplistic it’s from a junior high health class.
