This book is hard to continue to want to read.

I can see why the tv series are so different.

I am starting to agree with one review where this feels like fanfiction.

For a series that I thought was getting better as it progressed, it seems it has went downhill on this so far.

I am a bit annoyed at how Elena seems to...have lost ability to talk well or process thoughts. With the way the previous book ended, Elena seemed to be just fine.

Just feels like an excuse to somehow create more for this series.

I liked how the author did point out the flaws Elena had.

I was also surprised what ended up happening to Elena. Didn't quite think that was coming.

Ah. Communication is needed so much here. And Elena was obviously not thinking clearly about the other family members being endangered at first.

I wonder if Damon knew or didn't know....

Don't get why at this point Elena hasn't thought to tell Stefan about this creeper. Then he could connect the dots and story would proceed quicker.

I am telling myself I can do this and get through this book.

Finding myself wondering "Why am I reading this?"

Maybe this was something I could enjoy when I was younger (although I sort of doubt that).

Do not quite care for Elena. Hopefully she will mature as the series progress.

I wanted to check out the book series after I had watched some of the televised version with my nieces years ago. From what I remember, television version Elena's personality is different.

Well, Elena is just crazy obsessive isn't she?

I don't get why Noah is mad that his youngest (Ham) saw him naked. :/ And Ham probably went to his older brothers to help figure out what to do. And older bros were all like, "We got you lil' bro".

Then Noah curses his grandson (Canaan, son of Ham) to be the lowest of slaves to Shem and and Japheth. Just not cool I think.
