Immediately this book annoyed me. Same cookie cutter “a detective with a dark past” and the dialog and presentation of info was so awkward and unnatural. Life is too short to be annoyed or have to work hard to get past glaring issues and hope the overall book makes up for it. DNF.

I’m already about to throw this across the room. I’ve read a few books in the other series but HOW is Sara Linton a pediatrician, a medical examiner AND an ER doc? What is this, Gray’s Anatomy? One doctor does every role? You don’t diagnose diabetes based off of one blood sugar test. And pregnant women can take oral meds for diabetes. So frustrating!

So far this book is blah. The plot is lazy. It’s just a carrier to insert (I said what I said) as many sex scenes as possible. I’m halfway through and so bored.
