I really want to like this but it's like almost every time someone rewrites Russian lore (especially Baba Yaga)... let make it into something that doesn't really fit. Like... I'm all for a modern vibe but this really isn't it. I'm vaguely bored and just tired of the story. *sigh* Why can't all authors who want to do anything with Russian lore read The Bear and the Nightingale first? Aim for that. Please.
