I just have to keep reminding myself that this is not the NHL, but a fictitious PHL with completely different schedules. Also, that in this world, Canadian college hockey is actually a feeder into the PHL. No relation to actual realistic skill level.

I forgot how crushing this book is. When I was younger, I wanted kids but the spouse wasn't ready. Then I wasn't ready either. Then we decided we really didn't want kids after all. Sometimes I still wonder about it, though. But this pain....It's crushing to read.

A couple of months ago I was at the doctor, just chit chatting with the nurse. Somehow, she told me about her pregnancy loss. Now I'm reliving that talk.

Wow...Just.....Wow

I don't remember where it was I read this recently, or if they were talking about another book or what. It was about things happening at the midpoint of books, right at the 50% mark. Yeah. Oh fuck. damn.

This book is king of the sofa good.

I'm going to have the worst book hangover when it's done.

And once I got going, I couldn't put it down. Ups and downs and highs and lows and a whole bunch of everything all at once.

Tears and damn, I really miss my spouse tonight. He's off with a friend just hanging out. I would have tagged along but no one asked me, and so instead I went on a super emotional Ripper journey.

Will...my heart is breaking with yours.

Oh this is a hard read.

And oh so Ripper. Ze is so good at getting all the emotions and feelings right, and Hugh....this is So Effing Hugh.

Oh fuckkk this is destroying me. I've put the book down twice now because I just want to sob, and I'm at 4 fucking percent. This is WRECKING me. I want to read it, I really do, and I'm sure it's wonderful, but UGH!!

So I'm really finished, but I want to write a few words before I'm done.

I enjoyed this book, but I was so distracted by the author not knowing simple facts about what she was writing about. Growl. It took me a long ways into the book to be able to ignore them. I find that so frustrating.

Author friends, please research before you write, or ask someone who knows about the subject.

I'm honestly not sure who got me reading these now, but I can't stop. I have so many ARCs I need to read and review this week, and yet........

Oh wow. Okay, everyone should read this book when it comes out. The Ace talk. Oh emm gee.

Oh this book is a absolute joy to be ARC reading for a review. I have had several that were -meh- lately, not necessarily terrible, but just not necessarily everything I hoped they'd be. This one....I'm really enjoying it!

Somehow I didn't ever read this. I think it's because I read most of the stories when they were published elsewhere, but the couple of new ones, I've never read, so I'm re-reading the whole thing. Some of these it's been a very long time since I've read them.

I read the first couple of pages of this initially and then remembered I had other books I had to read. And then didn't get back to this until now.

I'm not sure how I feel about this book so far. I'm having a very distracted day, and the way this book is written is not working with my ADHD brain. I feel like I should be loving it and I'm not right now. Ugh.

I'd already read the first chapter on Dreamspinner as the excerpt, but it just got me again.

The whole conversation where Ian finally gets what it's like when he's deployed.... oh my heart.

I love how Oscar sees Miro and knows he can help.

Fuckballs is a wonderful swear.

I love the part at the airport when they see Kage's family. (I think of him as Kage when I'm reading Marshals, but he's always Sam when I read MOT.) It's just so....perfect.

The call with Nate....wow...just tears me up, but in a good way.

Oh Jory....The first time I read this, I remember feeling like "Aaron and Duncan? Naw." Now I'm all twitterpated waiting for Parting Shot. (Of course there's bunnies and Acrobat first, but I'll be there soon enough.)

I'm so glad that Sam is back. Plus, hot sexxxxxx.

I just love the two of them together. so much.

The biggest problem with this book is there just isn't enough Sam in it. But then when Sam shows up, it's hot and wonderful and I just love him.

Oh Jory, I love you, but you are just so...Jory.

And yes, I'm rereading this yet again. I thought I'd left my kindle at home last night when we went to robots, where I had no cell or Wi-Fi connection, so had I to read what I had in my phone Kindle library, which happened to include MoT vol 1. It turns out I dropped my kindle in the snow on the driveway when we were leaving. It's the new oasis so it survived the snow and cold, and we didn't run over it with the car.

Every time I reread this, I forget how awful Sam was at the beginning. I'm always, always crushed with Jory. Every single time. Crushed. Sam, why are you such an ass? I hate you right now.

I have all these "sweet" books at the top of my TBR but that's not at all what I'm in the mood for. Help me out! Looking for suggestions on what to read that's not sweet.
